Prepare To Plein Air: What’s in Your Backyard?

 

Class Description:  These workshops will explore the basic elements of painting outdoors, or “en plein air” painting.  Breaking it down into an easy format and working indoors to start, this workshop is designed for beginner to intermediate art enthusiasts of all ages. Make a painting in less than 2 hours while you learn color mixing, composition, and most of all, how to enjoy the outdoors and create art from life and the beauty of nature. 

 

When: Saturday April 8

Where: Derby Village Town Hall

Address:  104 Main St Derby Line, Vermont

Materials Provided: Acrylic paints, palette paper, canvas 

Supplies to Bring: 

Oil paints (if using): Ultramarine blue, Cerulean blue, Alizarin Crimson, Cad Red LIght, Lemon Yellow, Indian Yellow, ,Ttitanium white, Burnt Sienna, Sap Green, solvent and container

Easels ( I have some table easels but please bring what you intend to use)

4-6 Brushes ( Filbert, Round, Flat, Liner (not too small, not too big) 

Water container

Easel if you have one

When: Sunday April 30
